Ruins Of The Future

Earlier this month Anna of Eccentric Cosmetics contacted me to ask if I’d like to give my thoughts on her Ruins Of The Future Collection. She was kind enough to send some samples my way, and I had fun swatching them out!

Ruins Of The Future

Each color has a sparkly counterpart added – blue has blue sparkles, purple has purple sparkles, and so on. How much you catch the sparkles really depends on your light source, because they are the reflects-type sparkles, not plastic glitter. The formula is smooth and well-blended, just as my other Eccentric shadows are.

The only thing I noted that wasn’t so good is that the blue stains when damp. I swatched it over TFSI that wasn’t quite ready, and when I washed it off it took some scrubbing to get rid of the stain. I imagine this would be a problem if you wetlined or foiled with it, but dry it’s fine!

Freely admitting that I’m not a fan of pastels, I do like this collection a lot, and the inspiration for it is pretty fascinating!

Late comment but thank you for this review. Those shadows look amazing and I’m fascinated by the abandoned pods and ghost towns. Thanks for helping me discover a new company. I’ll be ordering soon and look forward to trying their items.
